I've got lots going on over the next few weeks/months: Starting a new volunteering role, temporarily adapting one of my job roles, seeing some live music and I've got some cheeky days off; in this time I am attempting to arrange an MOT, get a quote for two new front tyres, attend a college open day and cook an 'actual' meal ie. not pasta. Someone give me a medal!
In terms of live music, this month I am seeing Nero & The Civil Wars (other bands awaiting confirmation from my bank account). These will be two very different experiences and I can't wait. At Nero, I admit, I'll probably only know one song *clears throat* "Innocence, you'll never be mine ..." and even then only because Scott & Becky play it on Radio 1 sometimes when I'm driving home. I do love Scott and Becky! Rush hour traffic is erased from the list of things that annoy me in life when I am listening to them. Without them though, there it is, along with poppers being undone on duvet covers, the poppers being by your face when you wake up in the morning and shops that leave ALL their lights on overnight when they're closed ...
On the off chance that The Civil Wars are reading this, please play your cover of Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean' on 22nd March, it's the best cover song I have ever heard. Thank you.
Also, now I am totally without savings after departing with my hard earned money for Download & Sonisphere 2012 tickets (as well as forking out £75 to get a clamp removed from my car ... add clampers to the list).
This month, June and July have the potential to rock my matching socks off!
